Employment is needed
We make an appeal for our northern brethren to consider establishing a business or factory here in Ixtlan, to offer employment to the men of the community. The apostle Paul understood the importance of work in the life of a believer, but the issue takes on a deeper meaning when it means the father has to leave his family to find work elsewhere. Providing work opportunities to men would open new doors for us to impact the lives of many fami lies here in Ixtlan and the nearby communities. Christian principles and stewardship practices would be included in their daily work schedule “...and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; that ye may walk honestly toward them that are without and that ye may have lack of nothing." (I Thess. 4:11-12)
Another way to help would be to provide a trust opportunity (loan) for a local brother to be able to start his own business with the hope of providing work for other men. The U.S. brother could also provide expertise that he learned in his own business or operation. By helping a brother to establish his own busi ness, hopefully, he would then be in a position to give employment to other men.
