The Need for Prayer
The Bible states in Psalm 127:1, Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. The Mission Committee recognizes the need for God’s blessing and the presence of His Holy Spirit in all we attempt to do. Therefore, the need for fervent prayer to God is essential. James 5:16 says: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
We humbly ask for prayer support for each of the churches, schools, and orphanages that have been established by God’s direction in Mexico, India, Japan, Europe, the Caribbean, the United States, and throughout the World as God leads.
Many decisions have to be made, and only God can see the future and know the hearts of men. We want to be good stewards of the investment of time and capital required in the efforts to save the lost and nourish the believer. It is very important that prayers be offered for the Elders and church brethren involved in directing the mission outreach.
We are reminded of God’s will for his children in Luke 10:2: Therefore said he unto them, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” The Mission Committee asks for your prayers for God’s guidance, comfort, and encouragement to the brothers and sisters of Christ who are willing to be used of God in this important work of spreading the Gospel to those souls who are willing to give their lives to God and attain eternal salvation.
